Lieber Freunde der Luxemburgischen Gleitschirm Szene! Als Team-Leader der luxembourgischen Nationalmannschaft freue ich mich, von der EM 2010 fogende Ergebnisse mitteilen zu dürfen: Bei der Europameisterschaft in Abtenau, Österreich (vom 23. Mai bis 5. Juni) haben insgesamt 33 Länder mit 144 Piloten teilgenommen. Davon ist Luxembourg insgesamt auf Platz 24 gekommen (zum Vergleich: Bei der WM 2009 in Mexiko, hat Luxembourg von 44 Ländern den 42. Platz erhalten). Bei den Frauen hat die Vertreterin der Luxembourgischen Mannschaft, Grazia Crippa, den 15. Platz unter 15 Frauen eingenommen, da sie leider aus persönlichen Gründen frühzeitig abreisen musste. In der Gesamtwertung hat die luxemburgische Mannschaft von 144 Piloten die folgenden Resultate errungen: Platz 26: Gregory Knudson (Ozone R10.2) Platz 89: Etienne Coupez (Axis Mercury Proto) Platz 138: Valter Paduano (UP Edge) Platz 140: Grazia Crippa (Gradient Avax XC) Ich fühle mich persönlich sehr geehrt, Luxembourg bei der EM vertreten zu dürfen und hoffe sehr, dass die Beteiligung unserer Mannschaft bei diesem höchstbewerteten Wettbewerb die Bekanntheit des Gleitschirmsports in Luxemburg insgesamt gefördert hat. As Team-Leader of the National Paragliding Team I am pleased to report the following: At the Paragliding European Championships in Abtenau, Austria (May 23 – June 06), 33 countries took part. Luxembourg placed 24th in the final results (compare this to the World Championships in 2009 where out of 44 countries we came in 42nd place). Out of 15 women participants, Grazia Crippa came in 15th place (unfortunately, for personal reasons, Grazia returned home early). In the overall category, out of 144 pilots the Luxembourg team had the following results: 26th place: Gregory Knudson (Ozone R10.2) 89th place: Etienne Coupez (Axis Mercury Proto) 138th place: Valter Paduano (UP Edge) 140th place: Grazia Crippa (Gradient Avax XC) I feel personally highly honored to have represented Luxembourg, and I very much hope that our team's participation at this highest-level competition will help to promote the sport of paragliding in Luxembourg.
